Mr. Aymeric VILLEBRUN, Managing Director of SGCI, HE Mr. Gilles HUBERSON, French Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, and Mrs Fatoumata SISSOKO-SY, Proparco’s Regional Director for West Africa, signed a partnership agreement at the “Maison de la PME” of Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire to support and finance professionals and SMEs in Côte d’Ivoire.

The ARIZ portfolio guarantee granted by Proparco will enable Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire to develop its offer to entrepreneurs. Professionals and SMEs contributing to sustainable development will thus be able to benefit from loans ranging from 6,000,000 (six million) FCFA to 200,000,000 (two hundred million) FCFA over a period ranging from 1 to 7 years.

“Société Générale Group recently launched the Grow with Africa programme, which aims to provide better support for African SMEs and to promote the development of innovative financing solutions adapted to African markets. “said Aymeric VILLEBRUN, Chief Executive Officer of Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire in his speech.

Proparco’s Regional Director, Ms Fatoumata Sissoko-Sy, recalled that in 2019 the AFD Group launched the Choose Africa, a 2.5 billion euros initiative dedicated to financing and supporting 10,000 start-ups and SMEs on the African continent by 2022.
