The AFD Group partners with a wide range of local public and private financial intermediaries (commercial banks, microfinance institutions and non-banking institutions, such as leasing, factoring and insurance companies) to expand the breadth and depth of products and services tailored to the needs of small business.

Proparco and AFD offer a variety of financial products and advisory services to these local financial institutions so that our partners can more effectively and efficiently serve the financing needs of local MSMEs.

  • We also provide risk-sharing solutions to financial institutions so that they can increase lending to enterprises and microfinance institutions, particularly via the AFD Group’s guarantee range, known under the label ARIZ.
